SENIOR ENGINEERS · DHAKA

৳2,60,000 to ৳5,20,000 a month, paid in taka.

Kensink places senior engineers from Bangladesh on long contracts with US companies. Your band sets your rate, the whole ladder is published on this page, and you know the number on the first screen instead of the fifth call.

THERE IS NO OPEN SIGNUP
Entry is by referral or invitation only. If anyone could add themselves a client could not trust the badge, and the badge is the whole product. Asking is free and a person answers every one.

THE ENTRY BAR

What we need, stated plainly

01
Six years of production code
Shipped and maintained, with the incidents to prove it. Side projects and coursework are worth having and they do not count toward the six.
02
Evidence somebody can check
Repositories, employer confirmations, former managers who will pick up the phone. We call them, and the call is what the record is built from.
03
Three hours of US overlap
A window you actually keep, not one you agree to and then miss. Clients schedule inside it, and we measure whether it held.
NOT FOR

Who this is not for

NOT A FIT
Junior and mid engineers
There is no track here that starts below six years. Come back when the record supports it and we will read it properly.
NOT A FIT
Career changers
A bootcamp plus two years is a real achievement and it is still below the bar for this bench. That is a statement about this bench, not about you.
NOT A FIT
Agencies and staffing firms
Every record here is one named person we have met. Nobody subcontracts a placement and nobody is presented under somebody else's name.
FOUR STEPS

From a code to a published profile

Every step is a person doing something and writing down what they checked. Nothing on this bench is a self-assessment, which is why a client believes the ones that are.

01
A referral, or an invitation
Somebody already on the bench sends you a code, or you ask us and a person reads it. Either way you get an answer within a week, including if the answer is no.
02
Your evidence, read by a person
Repositories, employers, references. Nothing here is scored by a model on its own: a person reads the work and writes down what they checked and when.
03
Identity and employment, confirmed
A national ID or a passport matched to your employment record, and your dates confirmed with a work email, a payroll document or a former manager who answers. A profile page is not a confirmation.
04
A technical screen, then your band
Ninety minutes, live, with a senior engineer. Your band and your overlap window are agreed with you after it, and the rate that goes with the band is the one published above.
Our own targets across the stages add up to 21 days. Where it slips is waiting on a former employer to answer, so we ask for three and chase all three.
QUESTIONS ENGINEERS ACTUALLY ASK

Before you write to us

I do not have a referral. Can I still get in?

Yes. Ask for an invitation and a person reads it. The gate is not there to keep good engineers out, it is there to stop the bench filling up with people nobody checked. A referral moves you past the first step; it does not move you past any of the others.

Why is there no sign-up button?

Because if anyone could add themselves, a client could not trust the badge, and the badge is the product. Every record on this bench is one person somebody at Kensink has met, checked and can answer for.

What does Kensink take?

The difference between the two numbers in the table above, and both numbers are on this page rather than one of them. That difference pays for finding the client, running the vetting, writing the contract, invoicing in dollars and carrying the risk that an invoice is paid late or not at all. You are paid on your own schedule either way.

Is this a job or a contract?

A long contract with a US company, worked remotely from Bangladesh, usually six or twelve months and usually renewed. You keep an overlap window with their afternoon and the rest of your day is yours.

Do I have to leave my job to apply?

No, and you should not. Nothing we do reaches your current employer. Employment confirmation is for roles you have already left, and if we ever need to speak to somewhere you still work we ask you first.

What happens to my ID document?

It is stored encrypted, it is never shown to a client, and every single time somebody internally opens it a row is written saying who opened it and why. You can ask us to delete the image at any time and we keep only the fact that the check passed.

Who can see what I am paid?

Nobody outside Kensink. Your rate is on the internal record and it is not on the profile a client reads, is not in any search they run and is not in any export they get.

How long does the whole thing take?

Our own targets across the stages add up to 21 days, and the console goes red on a stage that runs past its target rather than quietly letting it sit. Where it actually slips is waiting on a former employer to answer, which is why we ask for three and chase all three.

Once I am on the bench, can I refer people?

Yes, and you get a code of your own. A referral is a recommendation with your name attached: it is counted, it is visible on the record of the person you sent, and a run of referrals that fail the technical screen stops being a fast lane.

Ask, and a person reads it

A GitHub handle, one sentence about what you have shipped, and the name of whoever sent you if somebody did. We answer every application within a week, including the ones we say no to, and the no says which part was the problem.
